Matthias Church – (Catholic) Budapest,Hungary

Matthias Church is on the Buda side of the Danube River. Again its a very old Gothic design. We had an opportunity and toured the church today. It beautiful inside and has some Turkish/Moorish design inside. Agnes, our tour guide at the church told us that the Crown Jewels of the country of Hungary were taken to Fort Knox Kentucky after WWII for safe keeping. She said the Russians would have them in Moscow now if it were not for the Americans. They have been returned to the Hungarians now.
